I am a professor in the Department of Mathematics at WVU and currently serving as Chair of the Department. Prior to that I was an associate and assistant professor of mathematics and member of the Institute for Mathematics Learning at WVU. My doctoral work was in differential geometry and since then I have done work in a number of areas including the study of knot energies, data mining, software reliability, and mathematics education. See my research page for more or you can view my CV.
As a teacher, I have taught courses from college algebra to graduate level courses in algebraic topology and Lie groups. An outline of these can be found on my teaching page along with some notions about placement, assessment and student success. Some publications in these areas can be found on my publication list as well.
