Tutorial for Doing Calculus Problems with Webwork

Important Notice: Each week will have webwork assignments. Starting from the second week,

each webwork assignments will have two parts: the first part due day will be Thursday 10:00PM

and the second part will be (next) Monday 10:00PM.

Good News for students who need to strengthen their Algebraic/Tri function skills: Professor Ganser will organize a Trigonometry Review for our Calculus students.

Exam Schedule: (In Fall 2007)

• Exam 1: September 11, 5:30PM, 7:00PM
• Exam 2: October 2, 5:30PM, 7:00PM
• Exam 3: October 23, 5:30PM, 7:00PM
• Exam 4: November 27, 5:30PM, 7:00PM
• Final Exam: December 11, 2007, 11:00-1:00.

There will be no makeup exam for the final exam.

Reminder to students: Students must have their picture ID in order to take any of the exams of Math 155. It is the student’s responsibility if a student is denied of taking an exam because of the lack of a proper ID. Also, please be reminded that any kinds of calculators will not be allowed to use in any of the exams.

Reminder to instructors: In each of the exams (mid term or final), require each student to sign on a signature sheet when they submit their exam solutions. This signature is a record that the student takes the exam.

Makeup Exam Schedule:

· Date: October 20, 2007 (Exams 1-2)

· Date: December 1, 2007 (Exams 3-4)

· Time: 9:00-10::30

· Place: Room 315, Armstrong Hall

Permission to take these exams: Students taking these make up exams must have picture ID and instructor’s approval in writing. Sending an email to the course coordinator does not imply that permission is granted. Please also forgive the coordinator not to reply these emails.

Important Notice: No makeup available for Exam 1 and Exam 2 after October 20, 2007; and no makeup available for Exam 3 and Exam 4 after December 1, 2007.

Note: Due to the lack of manpower and shortage of resources, we have to terminate this program. We feel sorry for those who have enjoyed this column and would hope to have your support in the future.
